Leisa produces some of her work from clay she digs from her Booloumba Creek property. Pieces are glazed with a clear crackle, which draws colour from the clay and pools in the bottom of her pieces.
Her obsession is making Pinch Pots, simple and primitive these pieces are made spontaneously on site from whatever is on hand, each piece represents and captures that-moment-in-time, being all that is present when she connects in with the elements and the earth.
Her pieces of Mixed Stoneware is inspired by the texture and colours of the strata, the beautiful complex patterns formed by nature, preserving those irreplaceable riches that man is constantly seeking, yet only Mother Earth is capable of actually producing. Truly Magical and Naturally Inspirational!
